Ravens sign CB Rashaan Melvin, place Jimmy Smith on IR

The Ravens have added yet another new cornerback. Baltimore has signed Rashaan Melvin off Miami’s practice squad, the Ravens’ website said Saturday. To make room for Melvin, the Ravens (5-4) placed cornerback Jimmy Smith (foot surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season.
