Pete Carroll says Seahawks will pick QB on merit

The Seahawks spent quite a bit of money signing Matt Flynn and used a relatively high draft pick on Russell Wilson, but coach Pete Carroll said Monday that his starting QB will be picked on merit and nothing else.
