NFL bans Saints’ Payton a year for ‘bounties’; Williams out, too

The NFL announced that Saints coach Sean Payton will be suspended for the 2012 season without pay for his involvement in the team’s “bounty” program. Ex-defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely.
