Alex Smith avoids team-friendly Chiefs contract

Alex Smith said he didn’t want an Andy Dalton-type, pay-as-you-go contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran QB didn’t have to settle for one with the four-year, $68M deal he signed Sunday.
