Blues Defeat Carolina Hurricanes Prospects 2-1 In Improved Performance
The game was not televised today, but you can tell by looking at the scoring summary that the Blues played significantly better today than they did last night against the New York Rangers’ prospects.
Ryan Tesink scored the Blues’ first goal at 9:44 of the 3rd period. He was the Blues’ 6th round draft draft pick in 2011. He had 8 goals and 27 assists in 59 games last year for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. Jay Barriball, who played six games for the Rivermen last year, scored the other.
The Blues limited the number of penalties this game, improving to just five penalties from twelve the night before. Also, the number of shots on goal was much improved, with the Blues outshooting the Hurricanes 26-18.
