2013 NFL playoff schedule: Russell Wilson, Seahawks head to Washington

No, the St. Louis Rams aren’t in the NFL playoffs — but that doesn’t mean Rams fans shouldn’t tune into the playoffs, as plenty of excellent football remains on the schedule.

The NFL’s Wild Card weekend kicks off on Saturday when the Houston Texans play host to the Cincinnati Bengals (3:30 p.m. CT, NBC). Once looking like a lock for the AFC’s top seed, the Texans fell all the way to the No. 3 seed, and now play host to a Bengals team that went 6-2 on the road.

The focus shifts to the NFC after Houston and Cincinnati wrap things up, as the Green Bay Packers will play host to the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday night (7 p.m. CT, NBC). Adrian Peterson helped lead the Vikings to victory over the Packers in Week 17, and will certainly need to be at his best on Saturday night if the Vikings are to defeat the Packers for a second straight week.

On Sunday, Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts head to Baltimore to take on Joe Flacco and the Ravens (12 p.m. CT, CBS). The Colts’ storybook season took another miraculous turn in Week 17, as Chuck Pagano returned to the sidelines and watched his Colts knock off the Texans.

Finally, Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks will head to Washington D.C. to take on Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins (3:30 p.m. CT, FOX), in a game that pits two of the most exciting rookie quarterbacks against each other.

The Broncos, Patriots, Falcons and 49ers all have bye weeks.
