2013 Final Four schedule and bracket: Can Wichita State keep their run going?
The 2013 NCAA Tournament is close to wrapping up as the Final Four begins on Saturday. Three of the four teams remaining all have storied histories, and one program hopes to establish a tradition of their own.
Wichita State is in the Final Four for the first time since 1965, and they’re the first No. 9 seed to make it this far since Penn in 1979. They’ll face a daunting opponent in Louisville, the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament.
In the other game, Michigan and Syracuse will face off as both teams hope to break long championship droughts. This is Michigan’s first Final Four appearance since the Fab Five era in 1993, and Syracuse hasn’t made it this far since their title run in 2003.
